Reno Behavioral Medical Director Awarded American Psychiatry Association Distinguished Fellowship

 

Jeremy Matuszak, MD, MBA, Medical Director of Reno Behavioral Healthcare Hospital, was recently recognized as a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatry Association (APA). 

Distinguished Fellow is the highest membership honor the APA bestows upon members. The Distinguished Fellowship is awarded to outstanding psychiatrists who have made significant contributions to the psychiatric profession in the following areas: administration, teaching, clinical excellence, community involvement and scientific publications.

Dr. Matuszak received his medical degree in 2004 and completed a residency in general psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He went only to earn his MBA at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Dr. Matuszak is board certified in both adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry.

Over his career, he has received numerous awards and accolades including the 2018 Healthcare Hero Educator Award, the Ira Pauly Lifetime Achievement Award and Irma Bland Award for Excellence in Teaching Residents.
