Our Covid-19 Procedures

While we maintain our commitment to high quality and compassionate care, we are keenly aware that we must protect and maintain a safe treatment environment for our patients, family members, and staff. We comply with CDC guidelines and follow safety recommendations from state and local public health departments. We continue to monitor daily updates, recommendations, and best practices related to COVID-19.

The Safety of our Patients and Staff is our Number-One Priority

Our safety precautions include:

  • We require employees to wear a mask at all times.
  • We require employees to enter the building through a designated entrance, and we screen employees before the start of their shifts.
  • We require any employee with COVID-19 symptoms to receive medical clearance before returning to work.
  • We require any employee who has been potentially exposed to COVID-19 to self-quarantine and receive medical clearance before returning to work.
  • Our housekeeping staff follows Increased sanitation and sterilization protocols.
  • We have made hand sanitizer available throughout the facility, and employees wash their hands regularly.
  • We screen all new patients before admission. Our screening includes a thorough review of the patient’s medical packet and an assessment of any potential exposure to COVID-19. We screen the patient for symptoms of COVID-19, and we take each new patient’s temperature.
  • We ask all vendors to enter the hospital through our employee entrance, and we take the temperature of vendors before they enter our hospital. Hospital management has greatly limited vendor access.

Reno Behavioral Healthcare Hospital strives to maintain the safest environment possible. We update our safety protocols and procedures as new information becomes available. We appreciate your understanding as we respond to these challenges and care for our patient's health.
